A Tourist Information Guide to the Yorkshire Coast
The Yorkshire coastline is a glorious stretch on the East Coast of England. It encompasses rugged cliffs and glorious beaches, tiny fishing villages, lost hamlets, windswept abbeys, charming countryside and more history than you can shake a stick at.
Some of the places below might not appear on a traditional map. I may also have lied a bit.
Hover over a mermaid to reveal a location; click her for more information. The map of mainland Great Britain at the bottom shows Yorkshire (red) and the rectangle on the south east of the Yorkshire coast is roughly the region covered by this map. The additional detail at the bottom of the shows villages and towns lost to erosion.
